June, a stray kitten with a vision impairment, was brought to the Domestic Animal Rescue Group (DARG) in Cape Town, South Africa.
Holly, a volunteer with the organization, took on the responsibility of fostering June in her home.
Despite her blindness, June explored her new environment and quickly adapted to her surroundings. In just a few days, she was running around the entire house like any other cat.
Over the next few months, Holly became attached to June and fell in love with her. June was not only energetic, but also craved affection from everyone she met. Andrew and Rebecca stumbled upon a Facebook post about June and decided to adopt her without even seeing her in person.
Fortunately, everything went smoothly and their adoption application was approved.
June immediately bonded with Andrew and became a “daddy’s girl.” On the way home, she snuggled into his arms and climbed up on his neck. She was determined to play with Andrew and Rebecca’s other cats, despite their initial lack of interest. Over time, however, the cats became close and June now has two loving feline siblings.
June’s favorite activity is going on walks with her new family when she is not playing with her sisters. She has become an integral part of their lives and has a special place in their hearts. Despite her vision impairment, June’s feisty personality and loving nature have made her an important addition to the family.
