Whether or not you hold belief in miracles, this story is guaranteed to evoke deep emotions.
In May 2015, Hadley and Gentry Eddings, residents of Southern California, were involved in a devastating car accident. The couple was returning home after attending a ceremony when their vehicle was struck by a truck. While their injuries were relatively minor, they tragically lost their two-year-old son, Dobbs. Additionally, their newborn baby, Reed, who was only two weeks past the due date, also passed away in the tragic incident.
During the accident, Hadley was 38 weeks pregnant, and she was immediately taken to the hospital. There, she underwent an emergency C-section to deliver Baby Reed. Heartbreakingly, only two days later, the newborn passed away and was taken to heaven.
The couple mourned the loss of their children, and the ensuing days seemed to pass by swiftly. While they could have chosen to conceive again, they struggled with the fear of betraying the memory of Dobbs and Reed. However, Hadley eventually came to the realization that she couldn’t bear the thought of a life without experiencing motherhood once more. After thoughtful deliberation and addressing their emotional concerns, the couple made the decision to embark on the journey of parenthood once again.
A few weeks after the devastating tragedy they had endured two years earlier, Hadley gave birth to twin sons on July 10, 2017. The couple joyfully announced the arrival of their babies, Isaiah Dobbs Eddings and Amos Reed Eddings, praising Jesus for their third and fourth miracles. The names of their angels were chosen to honor and remember their deceased siblings through their middle names. The newborn sons were described as handsome and strong.
