I’m a mother of seven who tried for “one more” and ended up with quads. We use 50 diapers per day and have a trick for telling them apart.

Gabby Hagler, 40 years old, and her husband Patrick, 50 years old, received a delightful surprise when they found out they were expecting quadruplets, surpassing their initial hopes of expanding their family. The couple was filled with immense joy upon discovering the pregnancy in December 2021. Their intention was to conceive one additional child to complete their family, but they ended up being blessed with even more than they had anticipated.

Unprepared for the arrival of quadruplets, Gabby Hagler and her partner found themselves facing the joyful challenge of caring for four babies when they initially intended to have just one more child.

In their daily routine, Gabby Hagler and her partner face the responsibility of using 50 diapers every day to ensure the comfort and well-being of their quadruplets, who are named Adam, Bennett, Coby, and Dane.

Gabby Hagler revealed that she sometimes struggles to distinguish between the boys and resorts to painting one of their nails with a different color. The couple already has a two-year-old son named Sammy, and each of them also has a child from a previous relationship. However, during their 12-week scan in January 2022, they were taken aback when the sonographer delivered the astonishing news that they were expecting quadruplets conceived naturally, defying one-in-a-million odds.

In the face of the challenge of expanding their family to a total of nine members, Gabby and her husband understood that significant adjustments would be necessary in their lives. Gabby successfully carried the pregnancy until 34 weeks when she gave birth to four beautiful babies: Adam weighing 4 lbs 8 oz, Bennett weighing 4 lbs 7 oz, Coby weighing 4 lbs, and Dane weighing 4 lbs 1 oz. The birth took place on June 22nd of this year at the Woman’s Hospital of Texas, through a planned C-section.

As of July 2022, all four quadruplets have returned home to Katy, Texas. The family’s daily routine now involves managing 47 diapers, 32 bottles, a packet and a half of wipes, and three loads of baby laundry. To distinguish between Bennett and Coby, who bear a striking resemblance, Gabby and Patrick have resorted to painting their toenails in different colors. Despite the necessary adjustments, Gabby and Patrick are overwhelmed with joy and happiness over the arrival of their new additions. Gabby, who works as a real estate broker, shared that she occasionally gets confused with the quads and relies on painting one of their toenails to tell them apart.
