Single Mother Welcomes Second Set of Twins in Two Years. At the age of 21, a single mother has shared her story of becoming a mother of four, welcoming two sets of twins within two years. Despite being on birth control during her second conception, she considers the twins as ‘miracles.’
Kaitlin Brooks, a 21-year-old from Arkansas, USA, was overjoyed to discover she was expecting twins in March 2019 at the age of 19. She gave birth to Denver and Dayton Brooks in October of the same year. Just over a year later, despite being on birth control, Kaitlin was surprised to learn she was pregnant again and gave birth to Pierce and Piper Brooks in August 2021. Kaitlin has a condition called hyperovulation, which means she releases two eggs during ovulation, increasing her chances of having twins. Although she plans to eventually have her tubes tied, for now, Kaitlin feels blessed to have two sets of fraternal twins and is considering becoming a surrogate to help those struggling to conceive.

Kaitlin finds the idea of having multiples again scary since she already has four toddlers to take care of. She is considering getting her tubes tied to prevent further pregnancies. Although she is currently on birth control, she has had past experiences where the pill failed to prevent pregnancy. Kaitlin also mentioned that she is looking into becoming a surrogate to help those who cannot conceive children of their own.
Kaitlin shared that she was surprised to find out she was pregnant with twins at just five weeks and confirmed it with an ultrasound at eight weeks. While twins run in her family, it was a long time ago and she never expected to have twins herself. Her boys, Denver and Dayton, have very different personalities – Denver is fearless and outgoing, while Dayton is more reserved. Kaitlin gave birth to them on October 29, 2019, with Denver arriving first at 6lbs 10.5oz and Dayton following eight minutes later at 6lbs 7.7oz. Although Kaitlin had a good pregnancy, she had to stay in the hospital for a week after giving birth due to postpartum preeclampsia.
In November 2020, Kaitlin discovered she was pregnant again, just a month after celebrating her firstborns’ birthday. She had an amazing pregnancy and gave birth to her second set of twins, a boy named Pierce Brooks weighing 7lbs 5oz and a girl named Piper Brooks weighing 6lbs 13oz, after carrying them for 38 weeks and five days. However, she was discharged from the hospital after just 24 hours this time around. Despite being only 22 years old, Kaitlin has two sets of twins, which surprises many people. She is content with her four children and does not plan to have any more of her own. While she has considered becoming a surrogate mother, she wants to wait until her children are older before making a decision. Kaitlin feels blessed to have been able to carry her children and wants to help others who are unable to do so.
